How to enable Tor mode?

The application can route its traffic through Tor. Tor mode can be enabled or disabled through the config.json file located in the program folder alongside the executable.

Open the config file

Open config.json in any text editor.

You will see the following settings:

json
{
    "license_key": "",
    "use_tor": false,
    "version": "",
    "tor_proxy": "socks5h://127.0.0.1:9050"
}

Enable Tor mode

To enable Tor routing, change use_tor from false to true:

json
"use_tor": true,

The application will use the proxy specified in the tor_proxy field:

json
"tor_proxy": "socks5h://127.0.0.1:9050"
⚠ Warning
Tor must already be running and accessible through the configured proxy address. If Tor is not running, connections that require Tor routing may fail.

Disable Tor mode

To disable Tor routing, change use_tor back to false:

json
"use_tor": false,

The tor_proxy value can remain unchanged. It will not be used while Tor mode is disabled.

💡 Tip
If you do not need Tor, leave use_tor set to false.

Restart the application

After changing the use_tor value:

  • Save config.json.
  • Close the text editor.
  • Restart the application.
  • The new Tor setting will take effect after the application is restarted.

    ❗ Important
    Do not change the version field. It is managed by the application and should normally be left empty.
